FAQs
What does a chiropractor do?
A chiropractor is a registered health professional who works with musculoskeletal conditions, particularly those involving the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system. At Range Performance, chiropractic care focuses on assessment, movement, manual therapy, and rehab strategies to support pain management, function, and performance.
What conditions do you see?
We commonly see people with:
Back and neck pain
Training- or sport-related injuries
Joint pain (hips, shoulders, knees)
Headaches related to musculoskeletal factors
Ongoing pain that affects training or daily activity
Care is always individualised and based on your presentation and goals.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No referral is required. You can book directly online.
If needed, we may collaborate with your GP or other health professionals to support your care.
What happens in an initial appointment?
Your first appointment includes:
A detailed health and movement history
Physical and movement assessment
Discussion of findings and options
Treatment where appropriate
You’ll have time to ask questions and understand the proposed approach before proceeding.
Do you only do spinal adjustments?
No. Chiropractic care at Range Performance is not adjustment-only.
Treatment may include:
Manual therapy (which may include joint mobilisation or manipulation where appropriate)
Soft tissue techniques
Movement and exercise-based rehab
Load management and training guidance
Care is selected based on what’s appropriate for you.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Chiropractic care is considered safe when provided by a registered practitioner following appropriate assessment. As with any healthcare intervention, there are risks and benefits, which will be discussed with you before treatment.
If chiropractic care is not appropriate for your presentation, we will discuss alternative options or refer you on as needed.
Will chiropractic care fix my pain?
Chiropractic care does not guarantee outcomes.
Our aim is to:
Support pain management
Improve movement and function
Help you return to activities that matter to you
Recovery varies between individuals and depends on many factors, including the nature of the condition, load, recovery, and lifestyle.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no set number of sessions.
After your initial assessment, we’ll discuss:
Likely short-term and longer-term options
Review points
Whether ongoing care is appropriate
Care plans are flexible and adjusted based on progress.
Do you treat athletes and people who train?
Yes. We regularly work with:
Gym-goers
Runners
Team sport athletes
Combat sport athletes
Care is designed to fit around training, not automatically stop it, where appropriate.
